Library Gets Green Light

New library concept

The much anticipated Library and Learning Hub refurbishment will be going ahead in September 2018.

The building houses the library’s full collection as well as a children's book collection. Lifelong learning and community activities occur in flexible spaces that can be configured for both large and small groups.  Individuals, clubs and community groups can use the space.

There's a seminar room, space for family and local history research, study and discussion areas as well as multimedia and computer-based learning areas.

The Library and Learning Hub will have:

  • The latest in wireless connectivity
  • Self-service library equipment
  • Computer training rooms
  • Disability access and support facilities
